Greetings Friends:

I am feeling much better, and I appreciate your outreach and the notes and messages from many of you. I had a sinus infection and saw my doctor on Friday, the 6th. I had a Covid test which came up negative, and there are no antibiotics one can take. You have to wait it out.

Doesn’t that speak to all of us today? There isn’t a real quick “fix'' to the current issues with the Delta variant of Covid-19. We are in the midst of it, and we just have to wait this out. But, we have the gift of having each other to go through this with! We have a family of faith that will still gather every Sunday. We will still gather on Zoom Sunday and Wednesday nights at 7.

We will pray for and with each other. We will love our neighbor as safely and effectively as we can. We will continue to center everything we do on Jesus, as we all have grown in having a heart just like Jesus. (Due to my illness, we will continue the Summer Sermon Series until August 22nd.) This coming week it is on the Enduring Heart and how appropriate as we endure another wave of the pandemic. Keep the faith, folks. God is with us, and we will make it together.

The Faith Formation group began studying the Book of James from the New Testament Sunday evening. In the first chapter, James writes, “Consider it pure joy my brothers and sisters in the faith when you go through trials and difficult times. Because this steadfastness produces endurance which makes us complete.” James 1:2.
