Are you ready for Christmas? The usual answer is typically about gifts purchased, cards sent, plans prepared, etc. The real readiness has nothing to do with those worldly endeavors as important as they are. Our readiness is a "heart" thing...is there room in your heart for Jesus to come again this Christmas?
Remember from this summer? God loves us right where we are, but doesn't want to leave us there. God wants us to be more and more just like Jesus! This Advent/Christmas make room in your heart...forgive what you did and didn't do this past year. Forgive others and love all the same. Because, ultimately, God came down from Heaven to bring us all into one for the Lord!
TOP THREE THINGS
TO KNOW FOR THIS WEEK OF DECEMBER 13, 2021:
1) Christmas Eve services at 9 p.m. This is a great opportunity to invite a family member, friend or neighbor to come with you.
2) SERVICE TIME CHANGE! Yes, friends per the Shared Ministry agreement St. Andrews will move to 9 a.m. worship beginning Sunday, January 2, 2022!
3) We continue to pray and support our church Council. We thank God for Rose Jones and Jim Patton going off Council this year (officially at the January 23rd, Congregational meeting in 2022). God has called Mark Hollman and Jennifer Baker to join Council and they will all be installed after the meeting. May God continue to guide us all toward Jesus!
