Friends:
We move now into the Third Sunday of Advent which will have the theme of "joy". Every third Sunday in Advent has a different colored candle on the Advent Wreath. This reminds us of the fact that joy is different from the other themes of Hope, Love, and on the 18th, Peace. This particular Sunday there will be much joy at church as we come together for the Christmas Pageant at St. Andrews!
Bring your friends and family to services and a practice Saturday at 10 a.m. for anyone who would like to take part! If you have a hidden acting talent, or no talent at all, you are welcomed to come and participate. Thanks so much to Jan Smith and the team she has assembled to put this pageant together. This will be my first-time witnessing this grand occasion and I am personally excited!
As we prepare our hearts for Christmas remember the Advent overall theme of waiting. We are waiting on the coming birth of Jesus once again into our world. Be open. Be ready. Keep awake/alert for opportunities to love one another. Be filled with hope my friends and we will center in on the theme of Peace on December 18th. Meanwhile, we look forward.
