There was a Facebook post essentially talking about the simplicity of that first Christmas so long ago. House super cleaned and decorated? Gifts wrapped and purchased? Food prepared on fine china? No, think cold, dirty shed like structure. Think smelly. Think of no items of comfort, no blankets, no sanitary conditions, nothing!"
No-thing like what we have today. That first Christmas was so, so simple. As you make your final plans in these last few days before Christmas think "simply!" Let go of the perfectionistic mind set. Let go of all you think you need to do and just be...relax, enjoy your dusty house with family around and the laundry room door shut! Be good to you and reflect on that simplicity and how to make your Christmas simply about Jesus, His love, grace and forgiveness.

Top 3 things to know for this Christmas Week:
1) Christmas Eve services 7 p.m. Bring a friend or family member with you!! Holy Communion, Silent Night with candles, hearing the Christmas story from Luke chapter 2.
2) Christmas Morning, 10 a.m., Joint Service with our Faith friends. Remember, announced Sunday, there is no recording or live showing of the Christmas morning services! The "tech teams" of both churches are on vacation!
3) Worship Service time change! Once again, we change to the 11 a.m. time slot for church effective January 1rst, and thereafter. Christian Education for adults and children restarts on January 8th at 10 a.m.
**Be "weather aware" as we go into the end of this week. We will post on FB and website (and TV stations in Indy) if we will have to close due to forecasted cold temperatures and weather.
God be with you until we meet again!
