Friends:
Lent begins in a week! Yes, the temperatures here in Central Indiana tell us spring is on its way! Lent is a word that means "lengthening of days" in Latin. As there is more daylight each day, and we move into the spring season we walk with Jesus through the last days of His ministry.
During the Wednesday nights in Lent we will focus on Christian faith practices and growing and deepening our walk with Jesus. This information has already been published and will be in the March newsletters and other places. Please note:
Ash Wednesday, 6 p.m. soup supper and 7 p.m. service. The next 5 Wednesdays in Lent (March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29) rotate between the churches with the same schedule of 6 p.m. soup supper, 7 service. These Wednesday's in Lent services will be short so that we are not going late into the evening. They will feature a few hymns, prayers and a teaching on different faith practices.
Listen to this weeks MidWeek Moment for details! To God be the glory, God be with you until we meet again,
TOP THREE THINGS TO KNOW FOR THE WEEK OF FEBRUARY 15, 2023:
1) Pray for Turkey and the surrounding region as they begin recovering from a devastating earthquake. Please consider a donation to an agency of your choosing. I announced Sunday to consider Lutheran World Relief, http://www.donate.lwr.org
2) Our New Council met this past Saturday morning to do some brainstorming and discussion about our future! Please pray for them: Jan, Jennifer, Lisa, Amanda, Jamie, Mark, and Suzy! A congregational meeting is planned for March 19th immediately after church. Save the date!
3) Lent begins with Ash Wednesday services at St. Andrew's on February 22nd at 7PM. Please pick up a devotional booklet from the table in the narthex/entry area and feel free to take one for a friend or family member.

God be with you until we meet again!
