Pastor's Top 3

One of the many highlights of being your Pastor, are the meetings and time together with the other Speedway Ministers. This group began with some support from Pastor Strobel, and has been in existence for over 20 years. Mainly, the Speedway Ministerial group has a Thanksgiving and a Good Friday service for the community. 

One of those is coming up this Sunday, November 19th, 5 p.m., at Speedway United Methodist Church. The church is located at 5065 W. 16th street and their Pastor G. Thomas Jones will be our host. Please come and join us in a service giving thanks to God for Jesus Christ in Word proclaimed, Holy Communion and singing and good fellowship. It will be good to have St. Andrew's Lutheran well represented. 

TOP THREE THINGS TO KNOW FOR THE WEEK OF NOVEMBER 15, 2023:

1) We are collecting gloves/mittens/hats for the needy children of Wheeler Elementary. Please bring those in as soon as possible and place in the box in the narthex/lobby area. Puzzles and games are also being collected and can be brought into church up to Dec. 10th. Please make them new and not opened. Contact Lisa Gold for questions. 

2) Thanks to Jan, Beverly, Jamie and others for an excellent Christmas Sale on Saturday as over $500 was raised. Many from the community came who had seen the posts on Facebook. A terrific use of our building and getting the word out about us to the community. 

3) There will not be another Clothes Closet in November due to the Thanksgiving Holiday. Pat requests children's winter clothing, and any support on Wednesday afternoons as they fold and sort and put out donated clothes welcomed. Call Pat with any questions.
