Friends:
Last week at Faith, Avon, a former member desperately needed a place to hold a Celebration of Life for his mother. Long story short, the family was not able to use another church where they were planning. So, he contacted me, I helped check with our people and we gladly made way for them to use our building.
It was a grand affair, with tons of people literally jammed into that small building. But, the family of faith at Faith, was able to assist this family in great need. It's what we do, we help, love, support one another whenever we can. Our building is here for you, and yours, and certainly for the wider community. Please pass the word to any support groups you are part of, to any organized groups you meet with or know about, that our building can be used.
This former member left a thank you note at church. He wrote that he was so, so thankful that his family of faith, his words, could help out his personal family. He was very thankful and they made a donation to the Food Pantry.
Are you needing space for an event? Are you, or someone you know connected to Weigh Watchers, AA, or any other groups that need space. Let's pray about how to "walk with our community" in more "concrete" ways. Amen!
