Sundy morning's 32nd Annual Christmas Pageant was a wonderful event to witness. I have enjoyed these plays every year (this was my 5th one) and appreciate the actors and children and all who take part. Jan Smith has led this effort and indicated this was her last one, we will need someone else to step up and lead us to the Baby Jesus in 2025.
A highlight for me was Lisa Gold singing so beautifully the closing song and then our saying good-bye to Lisa. Many of you know her husband, Chuck, attends a different church just within walking distance to their home in Danville area. Lisa plans to join him and we pray for both of them and continued good things for Chuck's health. (He was recently declared cancer free, thanks be to God!).
We all know and love Lisa and her shy demeanor makes it all the more significant that she steps up to sing like that every year! She's following a verse I really love in Phil. 4:13: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! And all God's people said "Amen!"
Please send a card to Lisa thanking her for her service here and maybe one to Jan for leading this program so wonderfully all these years.
God Bless!
