Friends:
Sunday at church, Council President Jamie Shake referred to a "meeting with realtors" in regard to our building and our future. At the end of service, I made sure everyone knew that there has been no decision by Council on the future of St. Andrew’s. A decision like that will be made by the Congregation, in conjunction with Council.
On Sunday, June 22 we will have a pitch in after church and congregational "listening" and discussion on the future. Everyone is urged to attend. So, as we go forward guided and led by the Holy Spirit, let us keep our heads up, hearts open to God in prayer, and continue as a family of faith. Praying for and with one another and for God's future for us to be made known!
TOP 3 Things to Know for this Memorial Day Weekend!!
1) No Sunday services this weekend, instead we worship at 7 p.m. on Thursday night, May 22. Faith, Avon has their normal 11 a.m. service.
2) Please consider helping Bella with her commute from Vincennes! She has not asked me, and I know we pay her part time. She serves us well, and I'm just asking we help this college student! Next time you get gas, get a $10 or $20 gas card and give to her on Sunday. She also has a mailbox by the back doors if you prefer. Thanks in advance for supporting & praying for her!
3) In the category of you wouldn't know unless I told you, I was at church most of this past Saturday. Dave and Faith Clark were members here long ago, and daughter Jenny(Jennifer) Smith (Clark) was married here by Pastor Strobel! Dave passed a few weeks ago and the family asked to use Fellowship Hall for a family reception. Thanks to Mark Hollman for setting sound and lectern with me!! I loved a packed parking lot on a busy Speedway afternoon!
God be with you until we meet again!
