Friends-
I can't wait until the Pacers NBA finals games are over!! It is to nerve wracking to watch these games over and over.
The 3-point shot, bad referee calls, the opposing fans, the time clock, the fast pace of play and then missed shots or turnovers. I can't take it!! Lol, I'm yelling at my TV.
One time when the Pacers were in a different play off I had a commitment out of town, and recorded the game. As I was driving home, I listened to the game and discovered they won the game! The Pacers NBA basketball had won the game!
When I watched the game the next day, you can image how great it was to watch! I knew they had already won!! So when the game got close, or Pacers fell behind I was relaxed and at peace. I knew the end of the game!
It's the same for us in everyday life!! We know the score!! We know the end of the game, Jesus wins!! So let us be at peace and relaxed.
TOP 3 THINGS TO KNOW FOR THE WEEK OF JUNE 18TH:
1) This Sunday there is a congregational meeting after service.
Please come and take part and bring something for "brunch" to share.
2) As you know by now, no service here June 29. We will all be at Faith, 10 a.m.
Joint worship service with Bishop Tim Graham.
3) Please pray for Thelma Holtman who hasn't been feeling well these last few weeks.
We pray for caretaker husband, Bob, and that Thelma feels better soon.
Thank you, Pr Doug Givan
