Friends - More than a few have asked how I'm doing and the latest on my health.
First of all, I know many of you have had, or have now, dealt with more than nerves and a cane! About a year ago I had a procedure done on my back to lower sciatica pain.
That evening of the procedure, November 8th 2024, I fell at my home! There had been damage to my left leg nerves because of sciatica and today that nerves are still damaged. I have no feeling in my lower left calf, and foot. Nerves have been compressed and damaged for a long while, and they are slow to regrow.
So, some pain is associated with walking, but today it's better than last year thanks be to God. So really, it's a matter of time and I need to be patient. The cane gives me stability as I walk due to all of this! Please keep me in your prayers, ask any questions if you want.
Thank you for cards, notes, text messages and emails of support!!
In the end, we still have life, and a beautiful fall season upon us!! See you Sunday at St. Andrew’s for our 10 AM. Chili cook-off!
