June 13, 2021

Dear St. Andrew’s,

The Council has continued to monitor the ongoing progress our broader community is making in the fight against COVID-19, and we are encouraged. As a result, we have started to develop plans for a measured return to “normal”. Starting this Sunday, June 13, the following changes will go into effect:

Masks:

Regardless of vaccination status, we encourage everyone to wear a mask whenever they wish in order to feel comfortable. As it relates to both our indoor and outdoor settings, mask protocol will be as follows:

  • Outside: There are no requirements to wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status.

  • Inside: Masks will be required, unless individuals are fully vaccinated. Fully vaccinated may choose to not wear a mask.

*Please note these protocols are in accordance with and directly reflect those requirements set forth by the Marion County Public Department of Health.

Indoor and Outdoor Services:

To assist in providing options for everyone, a rotation of services between indoor and outdoor has been established.

  • 1st and 3rd Sundays: Indoor

  • 2nd and 4th Sundays: Outdoor (weather dependent – so still watch for those emails to confirm!)

Singing:

We welcome everyone to "raise a joyful voice unto the Lord!" with singing at our outdoor services only.

Other Items:

  • Communion will remain via the prepared communion kits. During indoor services, individuals are welcome to come to the altar railing to offer prayer.

  • Fellowship Hall and other building protocols will remain in place.

Those items which are currently not changing or are only happening outside will remain on the agenda for the council in the months to come. We remain eternally hopeful that our community’s fight against COVID-19 continues in a positive direction, and we can further progress through a measured re-opening and return to “normal”.

God Bless,

Your Council
