Good morning, friends,

In order for me to keep up with the current news and events, I watch national news once a day. I guess I like to be in the know and to try and understand local, national and even global events. The news is an interesting part of our lives, isn't it? Today we can get news 24/7 365 days a year. The news can be depressing and overwhelming, and we all need to know when to pull back and stop watching the news or to just turn it off.

These last few days the primary story has been the new mask guideline from the CDC. I have discussed masks with many of you at both churches, and I am very aware of the "mask fatigue" among us. However, Marion County (and usually Hendricks County is the same) currently has the mask mandate in effect. We carry on staying together as a family of faith praying for one another. Please read the letters from our Bishop that have been sent out attached below or found by clicking HERE.

The news goes on to the Israeli/Palestine conflict, issues in politics, and all the rest. No wonder, friends, we call the news about Jesus Christ’s life, death and resurrection GOOD NEWS! The Good News of the Gospel (which means "good news!"). So in the midst of a world of bad news, hold closer, watch longer, read more about, and think about only the Good News of Jesus!

Please don't hesitate to call, text, email me if I can be of any help to your or your family.

Peace in the pieces,
Pastor Doug
