Friends,

When you were younger, who did you want to be like when you grew up? Who did you admire and want to be like when you were young? Was it an actor or actress? Did you want to be a superhero like Superman or Batman? Maybe Wonder Woman?? We all had someone like that in our lives; maybe we still do??

Did it ever occur to you, then or now, you could be just like Jesus? I mean really? You and I already have hearts that are full of grace and love and truth as God's gift in Jesus. It's just sometimes our human beings get in the way. Isn't that our goal as Christians? To be more and more loving, forgiving, compassionate and to be more like Jesus??

There is a book called Just like Jesus by Max Lucado, and I urge you to check out Amazon, or wherever you buy books, and get a copy. They are around $9 on Amazon, and if you are "fancy" on a computer there is a Kindle option of $3. Starting June 6 we will have a summer sermon series, and Bible study on Wednesday nights, to look at the various ways we can have a heart just like Jesus.

Max Lucado is a famous author having written many, many books on the Christian life. He has been very active on social media (as a Dallas, Texas pastor) during the Pandemic. He lifts up the fact that "God loves you just the way you are, but God refuses to leave you that way.God wants us to be just like Jesus." God wants us to have a heart like Jesus, so during the summer we will look at having a heart like Jesus. Please join me and order the book and jump in...it will be a great summer! Starts June 6-August 15 (skipping July 4th) with Wednesday night Bible study on Zoom for both churches at 7 p.m.

Any questions? Needs? Feedback? Let me know....always remember this is YOUR congregation(s)! Both myself and the Council report to you on all things. The doors are open, we hide nothing, and I/we stand by to pray and support God's work in both churches.

Yesterday, I forgot to thank Jamie Shake at St. Andrews for Altar Guild set up!
