If asked to describe ourselves I am sure we would go right to our "titles": wife/husband, retired/career, family, grandchildren, home, age, and maybe other sort of outside things! Remember when we are first and foremost God's and we hold up high the verse in 2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation.

TOP THREE THINGS TO KNOW FOR THIS FIRST WEEK OF JULY:

1) I forgot to announce Sunday that Joyce Yockey had brought in fresh flowers to display on the altar! Thank you, Joyce. We need to have colorful arrangements up there every week! The flower chart is around the corner on the way to my office! Or just pick up an arrangement at the store and bring in on Sunday. Let me know if there is someone you are honoring or remembering. You can sign up and let MJ know ahead of time to be sure it's printed in the announcements.

2) Faith Lutheran has their Food Pantries on first Friday and third Saturday. This month they are back to back just one week apart. If you are able to come over and help this Friday, 5-7 p.m. please come over! Then they are up again Saturday, the 15th. Please let me know if you are interested in helping and see what they do to feed sometimes 50-60 families in a drive thru.

 3) Joint Worship service, 10 a.m., July 30th at Faith Lutheran. There will be food provided after the service. Make plans to attend and invite a friend or family member.
