This Monday morning the first Coronavirus vaccines are "going into arms'' at various places across the country. The logistics are mind-boggling and so incredible to witness. Yesterday national news channels covered the FedEx and UPS trucks pulling out of warehouses in Kalamazoo, Michigan. These vaccines (different ones coming) are being hailed as the "beginning of the end" of the pandemic. And all God's people said "Amen!"

For us, the real "beginning of the end" comes to us on Christmas Eve! The beginning of the end of sin in all its forms, the beginning of the end of having no hope, no peace, and no joy. The logistics are also mind-boggling and incredible. God comes in human form, to die for our sin: past, present and future! Born in a manger in Bethlehem, this baby changed our world. Today we journey forward on this 3rd week of Advent. We continue to wait upon this birth, anew in our hearts, in our congregations, and in the larger world. The beginning of the end of sin lived, died and rose again for us on Easter. The real "beginning of the end" of death. "Where o' death is your victory, where is your sting?" (1 Cor. 15:55).

Please be in touch if there is any way I can be of service to you and yours!

May God grant us all peace in the pieces of life,
Pastor Doug
