Greetings Friends:
Yesterday at church I talked about Jesus and his looking at us "with compassion." I looked at the definition of the word, compassion, and it's meaning: "to suffer with" or to "care about someone else." Have you been through a difficult time and suffered? Or maybe you are suffering now in some significant way?
I would like you to take a moment from reading this and bring to mind someone who suffered with you. Who showed you compassion in your life when you were in a difficult time? Think about this person and pray a prayer of thanksgiving and joy. It's a wonderful thing to have someone walk with us when we suffer.
I hope you are walking with someone today and helping them out. We have several in our congregation that could really use someone to come alongside them. Can you drop off some soup? Send a card in the mail? Lift up a prayer and make a phone call? Of course we can, let's do it friends, and lift up one another with that same compassion that comes from God! You know who to call,
God bless, Pastor Doug
TOP THREE THINGS TO KNOW FOR THE WEEK OF AUGUST 9TH:
1) Come Wednesday night at 7 on Zoom and join others from both churches studying the lessons for the coming Sunday. A great way to prepare yourself for church is to be familiar with the Bible readings that are scheduled in advance. The Zoom link is in the church email that comes out on Wednesday mornings.
2) Clothes Closet this Saturday, 10-12. Volunteers needed please stop by or talk to Pat Tumey if you can help.

3) Worship time change comes around again starting September 3rd when St. Andrews will move to 11 a.m. worship times. As always, you are welcomed at Faith if that time suits you better.
God be with you until we meet again!
